More than likely you are here because you are looking for an alternative gear indicator for your 98+ Katana 600 or 750 and you ran across one of my threads on Katanaplanet.com talking about this one. Suzuki did not make a gear indicator for these bikes other than the neutral light. There are after market indicators, but the thing I didn't like about any of them was that you had to splice into several wires and calibrate it at certain speeds. As well they would fritz out at low speeds or when you were stopped. I wanted an indicator that would tell me what gear I was in at all times and didn't have to be calibrated. I also wanted it to look factory, not just stuck on the instrument cluster where it would fit. So Ace280 and I set about designing our own. What you see on the left is the finished result before the bike was completely reassembled. I'm providing this how-to document so you can build it yourself. Don't email me about making one for you; I'm not going to do it. **WARNING!!** THIS IS A FAIRLY INDEPTH PROJECT THAT WILL TAKE LONGER THAN A WEEKEND! Now, if you are still with me let’s get to it.

P.S. You can use this mod in any way you want, except to make money off of it. I'm providing the information free of charge, but I don't want you taking it and calling it your own. We worked very hard on this project for 6 months. Don't be a damn thief.
