Maple Scotch Snaps

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 1/2 cup pecans (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Nesquick (chocolate milk mix)


Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 375F
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar and butter
  3. Blend with a mixer until finely particulated (crumbly, not doughy)
  4. Reserve 1/4 cup for topping
  5. Add remainder of ingredients EXCEPT Nesquick
  6. Mix thorougly
  7. Shape into balls using a rounded spoon
  8. Come reserved crumbs and Nesquick
  9. Roll the balls in the mix and place on an ungreased cookie sheet
  10. Bake 12-15 minutes
