Shredded BBQ Pork Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 4lb pork butt
  • 16oz Mug Root Beer
  • 18oz Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory & Brown Sugar
  • Salt
  • Ground Pepper
  • Garlic powder


Preparation

  1. Remove excess fat from port butt
  2. Perforate with fork
  3. Apply salt, pepper, garlic powder
  4. Place in slow cooker
  5. Add root beer
  6. Cook on low for 6-10 hours
  7. Remove from cooker; shred with fork
  8. Discard cooker contents
  9. Put shredded pork back in cooker
  10. Add BBQ sauce
  11. Cook on low for 1 to 1 1/2 hours
  12. Place on toasted rolls
