Windows Desktop Branding (Removal)

1. Click on "Start", then "Run.." and type "regedit"
2. Navigate to the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop"
3. Once there, locate the DWORD value "PaintDesktopVersion"
4. Right click on it and select Modify

  • Value equal to "0" removes Windows version from desktop
  • Value equal to "1" adds Windows version to desktop

5. Reboot your computer
